As we were telling you a bit earlier, US consumer electronics manufacturer Vizio has just updated its flagship product line in order to make it 3D-compatible, but such an effort involves rolling out more than just a couple of HDTVs, namely quite a few accessories on the side, such as, for example, 3D Blu-ray players. And, in fact, that's exactly what Vizio's doing as well, since the company has just announced the release of the VBR333 and VBR334 3D Blu-ray Players with Wireless Apps that provide built-in Wi-Fi modules, users getting easy wireless connectivity to online services like Netflix, VUDU, Pandora, and more. Furthermore, beside being compatible with the Blu-ray 3D standard, the players also provide up to 7.1 channels of digital surround sound, as well as Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD technologies. However, in order to gain access to the aforementioned apps, either on their 3D Blu-ray players or 3D HDTVs, users need to be able to connect to the Internet, and that's exactly the reason why Vizio has also released XWR100 802.11n Dual Band Wireless Internet Router, a media-centric router, designed for maximum performance when streaming content such as HD video. Optimized for VIZIO Internet Apps (VIA) devices, the XWR100 automatically prioritizes Internet traffic destined for VIA devices like VIA HDTVs and Blu-ray players with Wireless Apps. Nevertheless, this universal wireless router works with just about any Wi-Fi device and is the ideal solution over conventional routers for households that want to enjoy streaming media along with traditional web surfing and other data-centric activities. In addition, the router operates simultaneously at both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, effectively acting like two wireless hotspots in one by providing a separate network for each band. Pricing for the new products from Vizio is, however, fairly affordable, since we're talking about roughly 189.99 for either of the two Blu-ray 3D players and just 99 US dollars for the router.
