Mobile operator Vivatel's subscribers will now be able to make video calls as well as access the Internet at higher-speeds, of up to 1.8Mbps downlink and 384Mbps uplink. Of course, customers will also be provided with the usual services offering various contents such as photos, ringtones, videos and more.

Vivatel will also offer additional packages for mobile Internet for the subscription plans or the special subscription plan Vivatel traffic. Additional data packages offer 30MB for BGN 9 per month or 100MB for BGN 18 per month.

The company is also said to offer the most competitive price for video calls, charging BGN 0.49 per minute, which is up to 33 percent lower than what other companies on the market are offering. The standard price per MB that both business and consumers are to pay is BGN 2.40, while the minimal pricing is per 1kb.

?It is a pleasure that as of today the clients of Vivatel will have the opportunity to benefit the advantages of the third generation technologies at the most competitive prices in the country", stated the CEO of Vivatel Richard Shearer. ?The new service is another proof that Vivatel is the engine of the strengthening of the competition on the mobile market in the country and it strives to offer highly qualitative and innovative products and services at affordable prices", he added.

All of Vivatel's customers will now be able to take advantage of the service and will have access to the 3G network by default. They will also be able to use it provided they have a 3G mobile phone and are within network coverage. Vivatel is the third Bulgarian operator, owned by the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company. It was awarded a 3G/UMTS license in May 2005.
