Leaked internal Microsoft video

This is Windows Vista Service Pack 1 in all its splendor, like you never heard it or saw it before. The video fragment embedded at the bottom of the article is bound to fail in finding its way onto all the music rankings worldwide, that if it even qualifies as music, but apparently Microsoft considers that it is a promotional message worthy to represent Windows Vista SP1. In all fairness, the video has been leaked, as it was initially intended for internal Microsoft presentations. But such a musical masterpiece could not have remained in the Redmond shadows.

The "Rockin' Our Sales" video was mentioned on Channel 9, and as you will be able to see, it features none other than Bruce ServicePack and the Vista Street Band. The song is from the "Our Ecosystem Rocks!" album offered via the Microsoft Quota Records. Without a doubt, the song and video aim to be at least funny, but just as Vista RTM missed the Wow by a long shot, this promotional material fails to be funny and goes straight at the opposite pole. Yes, it is nothing short of laughable.

"Last year when vista was new / You sold the optimized desktop value / That's a pitch that never fails / And you saw lots of sales / But some enterprises said / Wait and see, we don't want to adopt early / Well that's over cause of SP1 / And our ecosystem..." are the opening lines of the Vista SP1 anthem.

Keeping a straight face throughout the duration of the video is impossible. Microsoft had better only hope that the profits Windows Vista Service Pack 1 will bring their partners will be worth the three minutes and three seconds of abuse it managed to deliver with the promotional material.

And when you think it can't possible go any worse than this, the refrain kicks in: "Of they have been waiting / No more hesitating / When they see the improvements in security / the desktop and mobility / And productivity / They' ll say / Vista, got to get me some."
