Video game developer Visceral Games claims that, at the moment, it plans to launch Battlefield Hardline with seven core game modes, five of which have apparently never been part of the franchise so far, and with nine maps on which gamers can play all of them.

MP1st reports that Steve Papoutsis, the general manager of the studio, is the one who confirmed these numbers, while saying that his team wants to make each and every one of them a high quality experience.

So far, confirmed game modes include Hotwire, Rescue, Blood Money, Heist, Conquest, and Team Deathmatch.

Visceral Games has one more experience to reveal in the coming months, and it will probably be another asymmetrical experience that aims to show off the unique cops versus criminals concept that powers Battlefield Hardline.

We do know that Rush, which was loved when it was part of the Bad Company series, is not included in the coming shooter.

Visceral Games has also claimed that the nine maps are designed to be more focused on close quarters combat and on dynamic moments than those seen in Battlefield 4, although so far no clear details on their locations or their layouts have been delivered.

Battlefield Hardline and the consequences of a delay

Battlefield Hardline was supposed to be launched during this fall and was designed as a direct competitor for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, but publisher Electronic Arts has chosen to delay it in order to make sure that the quality of the single and the multiplayer matches the expectations of the player community.

Visceral Games has already run a beta for the title and plans to introduce another one before the end of 2014, designed to show off some of the game modes and get feedback from players.

The studio claims that it is ready to listen to critical opinions as long as they help improve the final game modes.

Battlefield Hardline is focused on the conflict between law enforcement agencies and criminal cartels and on the impact that the access to high-powered military hardware has had on its evolution.

The first-person shooter is expected to arrive in the spring of 2015 and can be played on the PC, the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and last-gen consoles.

Until then, fans of Battlefield 4 can get a final piece of DLC, called The Final Stand, filled with futuristic weapons and vehicles, whose action takes place in the Russian Arctic.
