Online backup and cloud storage solutions provider IASO, which is part of the GFI Software family, has launched a new version of IASO Online Backup. The latest variant integrates virtual disaster recovery systems and enhanced data protection for virtual environments.

In addition to virtualization and automation solutions from Parallels and Autotask, the new IASO Online Backup allows organizations to integrate the solution with ConnectWise tools. This enables service providers to monitor storage use and automate customer billing processes via professional services automation software.

IASO Online Backup relies on the Disk-to-Disk-to-Cloud (D2D2C) model in order to make sure that data backup and recovery are easy and affordable.

“IASO Online Backup’s Virtual Disaster Recovery technology is a tremendous competitive differentiator. “It expedites data recovery in the event of a system failure, and it’s extremely flexible. Users can restore to a flat file, so they don’t need a full VMWare estate to benefit from this functionality,” noted Thomas Campbell, product manager at Redstor Limited, an IASO partner.

“Additionally, we now have the opportunity to offer standby virtual machines to our customers. In the event of a disaster, the machines simply need to be turned on and customers will have immediate access to their servers. This combination of innovation and flexibility truly keeps data protected and available when companies need it most.”

The solution now supports Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2, Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks, Windows 8.1 and VMware vSphere 5.5. The disaster recovery technology allows organizations to access failed Windows systems as virtual machines compatible with VMware ESXi and VMware vSphere.

“Many companies are turning to the cloud for their backup and recovery needs because it offers reduced costs, ease of use and extreme scalability,” explained Andy Langsam, EVP of sales and operations at GFI Software.

“IASO Online Backup builds upon these core benefits with unrivalled technology. With IASO, customers don’t have to sacrifice performance and functionality for affordability and simplicity. They truly receive the best of both worlds.”

A 30-day trial for IASO Online Backup is available on IASO’s website.
