Looks like soon enough we won't be needing any buttons to play video games. Everything is becoming more and more user-friendly. The first step in this regard was taken by SEGA with Virtua Tennis 3.

The PlayStation 3 version of SEGA's tennis simulator will implement a feature that will excuse players of using the controller buttons. Yeah that's right, you can serve a match point or deliver a crucial passing shot without even pressing a single button. But you will still have to touch the controller.

This feature will be supported only by the PS3 version of Virtua Tennis, using the SIXAXIS tilt function. (Wii wireless remote eat you heart out) You can use the SIXAXIS to move around the court, or you can use it just like a tennis racket. You have to swing up quickly to lob, swing down to slice and make a horizontal swing for a top spin.

Virtua Tennis 3 will come out on the PS3, Xbox 360, PS and PSP sometime in 2007. SEGA has signed quite a few important tennis players from the ATP tournament to feature in the game. The list includes Rafael Nadal, Andy Roddick, Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova, Martina Hingis and many more.
