Canadian carrier Virgin Mobile has just gone live with registration page for HTC One S smartphone, which is expected to be released in the following weeks.

Moreover, the operator set up a contest opened to all Canadian customers, excluding those in Quebec, where two HTC One S devices will be given to the lucky winners.

Although Virgin Mobile has yet to announce any details on the price and availability of the HTC One S, the folks at MobileSyrup found out that the “Terms and conditions” of the contest reveal the possible price tag and launch date of the smartphone.

According to these terms, the retail value of each HTC One S device that is given away as prize is $600 CAD. That makes us believe that the One S will be released for the same no-term price at Virgin Mobile.

The same document also mentions that the smartphone will be available for activation in-stores and online on Thursday, May 17, 2012.

In the same piece of news, Virgin Mobile is now looking for 5 people who are willing to test the HTC One S. Those who want to be part of the carrier’s “Tester Team” are required to explain “in 100 words or less why you’d be an awesome Virgin Mobile phone tester.”

Virgin Mobile plans to kick off this Tester program this week. Furthermore, the testers will be able to report back on their findings until May 10, when the Tester program is meant to end.

As for the specs, HTC One S will be shipped with a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of internal memory and 1 GB of RAM. The phone is powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich integrated with HTC Sense 4 user interface.

It also comes with an impressive 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, which features HTC’s latest ImageSense technology. Stay tuned for more info on the subject.
