Virgin Mobile USA has recently announced the introduction of its 'flaring' new handset, and second with LG Electronics, named "Flare." Flare's "illuminating" external LCD-screen lights up for incoming calls and then fades to black, complementing its sophisticated black exterior accented by metallic trim.

Flare is the first handset in the Virgin Mobile USA line-up, other than a few select special editions, to offer Spanish-speaking customers in-language options right at their fingertips, through a preloaded newly enhanced Spanish user interface and menu. Like other Virgin Mobile USA phones, Flare allows customers to choose ringback tones, download fun diversions from VirginXL, and check account balances.

Flare's slim clamshell design offers many other must-have extras such as: bright internal and external displays including illuminating external, caller ID, real music ringtones and ringback tones, voice-activated dialing, mobile Web with dedicated key, downloadable games, built-in one-touch speakerphone, preloaded demos of PAC-MAN & Ms. PAC-MAN and more.

Loaded with Bluetooth wireless technology and equipped with an array of features consumers love, including full texting capabilities, Flare seems to be perfect for its price.

When it comes to personal contacts, Flare has major storing capacity, with the ability to hold up to 500 separate contact entries - with up to five phone numbers, three email addresses and one Web site for each name. The Flare is also light and compact, weighing just 2.72-ounces, and measuring 3.54" x 1.85" x 0.78". Its battery allows for up to 210 minutes of talk time and a week of standby time, approximately 168 hours.

Priced at $29.99, Flare is appearing at retail locations this month, and is available for purchase on the Virgin Mobile USA Website.
