14 DAY TRIAL // “Breaking Bad” might be over but the legend of Walter White, the chemistry teacher turned meth cook and dangerous kingpin, aka Heisenberg, lives on. It came to life again a few nights ago in New York City, when he resurfaced to help out a guy with his prom date.
These days, some guys turn to viral videos to ask girls to prom but, clearly, no one has done virals quite as well as Stefan Montana here. Meeting with Bryan Cranston, the actor who played Walter / Heinseberg in the critically acclaimed series, he asked for his help with his endeavor.
The result is embedded in the first video below. As expected, Cranston got into character completely before delivering the message to the camera: “If you don't go to the prom with Stefan, then maybe your best course of action would be to tread lightly.”
She eventually said yes, as Stefan announced on Twitter; I bet it had nothing to do with Cranston’s creepy and dangerous onscreen character.
Speaking of Cranston’s impeccable performance on the now-defunct series, considered one of the best examples of how television has evolved artistically in recent years, sometimes even besting the film industry in terms of character definition, acting and story lines, I will leave you with this: Never forget.
