Director Michael Bay has come under serious fire in recent years for unleashing the “Transformers” into the world, but at the end of the day, no matter how much critics and moviegoers criticize the franchise, it remains one of the most successful of all time.

With its countless explosions and over-the-top fight scenes that are so chaotic and violent you can hardly keep up with what’s happening on the big screen, the “Transformers” films are box office winners.

But have you ever wondered about the people in the cars the Autobots smash in their confrontations with the forces of evil? Because those cars could be occupied by your favorite characters from your favorite movies.

The Funny Or Die video below takes you beyond the deafening clash of the robot fights in the Michael Bay films, and it does so by having them ruin some of the most popular releases of recent years.

So we get to see the Transformers ruin “Speed” and “Inception,” “Jerry Maguire” and “Forrest Gump,” as they smash their way towards the enemy. To cap it all off, the video includes a speech from Bay about how the Autobots are the forces of good, because they would stop at nothing to save the world.

Or destroy it, from the looks of this video. Enjoy!
