Though authorities will always say that vigilanteism is neither to be applauded nor encouraged in any other way, this is exactly what is happening with the story of man known online solely as “The Big Man.”

The video above shows an incident on the Scotrail, one that's not that uncommon as we might like to believe.

The difference is that, this time, another person not directly involved in the altercation intervenes. That's right, The Big Man.

“Is there a problem?” he asks the ticket inspector who had been trying in vain to reason with a young man who didn't have a ticket.

Then, without waiting for a reply from the inspector, he picks up the lad by the coat and takes him outside, getting him off the train.

When he returns, his gesture is welcomed with applause. Online, he's been praised as just the kind of man our society needs in certain situations, when things go wrong but no one is willing to do something about them.

Check out the video above and let us know, in the comments section below, if you'd ever condone (or applaud) this type of behavior.
