14 DAY TRIAL // Love was in the air yesterday, for Valentine's Day, but one aquarium in China planned ahead and started the celebrations early. Between February 11 and 14, it held daily penguin weddings, twice a day.
Above is video of the report of how one such wedding took place.
Basically, two penguins, known for being monogamous, were placed inside a glass cage and moved around in a remote controlled Audi mini sports car, while people took pictures.
They also wore flowers around their necks and were decked in full wedding attire.
The idea might sound like fun if you don't think about it too much, but seeing it put into execution in the video above is anything but that – and not even remotely romantic.
If you ask us, those penguins look downright terrified to be put through such a public ordeal, from which they most definitely understand nothing.
Valentine's Day should never be about inflicting so much pain upon another living creature just because we think it'd be “romantic.”
