On Saturday, in Columbus, the Ohio State University Marching Band delivered one of the most impressive and well executed Michael Jackson tributes of recent months. The formation has made headlines before for numbers like this one, but no one resonated with fans like this one did.

For over 11 minutes, the band played some of Michael’s biggest hits, including “Billie Jean,” “Bad,” and “Man in the Mirror,” but that wasn’t all: the 192 musicians also recreated the late King of Pop’s iconic moves, by falling into a formation that resembled MJ himself.

The video above includes just two of them, the Moonwalk and the split. The video below is of the entire number: if you feel like sitting through it, I can almost guarantee you won’t be sorry that you did.

Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009 of a Propofol overdose. Since then, every once in a while, still grieving fans have the chance to come across something as touching as this tribute.

Enjoy.
