“Furious 7,” the latest release from Universal Pictures, has confirmed that the “Fast & Furious” franchise remains a high seller even if the story gets wilder and wilder. The fact that this was Paul Walker’s final movie may have had something to do with the fact that the film became a blockbuster, but the action scenes also helped.

During the promo tour for the film, leading man Vin Diesel explained that they had actually thrown real cars out of a flying airplane to make everything happening on screen more realistic. The result was anything but.

As a side note, he also said “Furious 7” would win Best Picture at the Oscars 2016, and chances of that are slim to none, so there’s that.

The video below, from College Humor, shows how some of the most important scenes in the film would have ended if they’d played out realistically. Obviously, the one in which they jump with their cars from a flying plane is also included, and no, it doesn’t end the same way as in the movie.

Neither do others, just as essential to the story.
