Video has doctor look at the injuries the villains sustained in the Christmas classics

“Home Alone” and “Home Alone 2” with Macaulay Culkin are classics even if the very premise on which they rely, that of a mother forgetting her child at home for the holidays, would be enough to make you think of Child Protective Services these days. However, after you spare a thought for Kevin, here is another for Harry and Marv.

The two are the villains in both films, being determined to rob the house in which Kev has been left all alone (there’s a slight variation in that in the sequel), even if that means sustaining serious bodily harm.

Of course, in both flicks, the villains simply get up and shake whatever accident off, but as the video above shows, had any of this happened in real life, they would have been long dead.

Screen Junkies asked a real doctor what would happen if some actually suffered the injuries they got and the result is none at all surprising: Harry and Marv would have died.

In fact, they would have died more than once, with the video concluding that making the 2 films required 9 Harrys and 14 Marvs to complete.

Boy, Marv sure drew the short stick, didn’t he? Enjoy!
