14 DAY TRIAL // Screen Junkies has returned with a new installment in their Honest Trailer series but, this time, they’re turning their attention – and very sharp sense of humor – towards television: towards one of the biggest TV series of all times, to be more exact.
Season 4 of “Game of Thrones” premieres on HBO on April 6, which is this Sunday. Can you feel the anticipation? If you can’t, it must be because you’re not up to speed with the events in the previous 3 seasons, in which case I recommend the first of the two Honest Trailers embedded below, the spoiler-free version.
The funny thing about this instance of Honest Trailer is that, unlike with those for most Hollywood feature films, it doesn’t really have anything bad to say about the series.
So, instead of pointing out flaws, it turns to making fun of the obvious, like the complicated storylines, the large number of characters and the fact that the writers have a certain dislike towards leading characters, whom they tend to kill off regularly – just like George R.R. Martin, who wrote the books on which the series is based, also does.
The result is absolutely hilarious. If you’ve seen all episodes from season 1 through 3, the second video is for you. Enjoy!
