“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” flies into theaters in most territories next Friday, on April 6, so, just in time, Screen Junkies has released an Honest Trailer for the first installment in the franchise, “Captain America: The First Avenger.”

As the name implies, this was the film that was meant to announce “The Avengers” and, at the same time, explain why and how come Captain America became part of the group when he was clearly from a different time than the other superheroes.

Because of this, in the latest Honest Trailer, Screen Junkies considers it nothing short of a 2-hour introduction in “The Avengers” universe which, if you think about it, is accurate. However, the film is more than that, but you shouldn’t let the knowledge of it spoil your fun with the video below.

Said fun should be doubled when you see with your own eyes how much switch flipping, lever pulling, button pressing and dial turning the film showcases, not to mention percentages without context being pronounced in a grave voice that’s supposed to add to the tension.

Screen Junkies has long attained Internet fame with this series of Honest Trailers, and is now creating them on-demand. This isn’t the best they’ve offered so far, but it’s bound to make you smile nonetheless.

If you want a bit more on the film, this “Captain America: The First Avenger” review should be of assistance.
