“I’m a hustler not a damn ball player,” rapper defends himself on Twitter

It’s not uncommon to have celebrities throw the first pitch at a big baseball game, so fans watching live or at home, in front of the TV set, know to expect pitches that are less than great, to put it mildly. However, even under these circumstances, rapper 50 Cent’s must be one of the world’s worst.

It happened the other day at Citi Field, before the Mets-Pirates game, and it was so bad that the video embedded below has already gone viral. I am really not exaggerating in saying it’s probably the worst pitch you have seen in your life.

The only way in which it could have been worse is if he’d really hit the cameraman he barely missed. To his credit, 50 Cent was just as amused by his throw as New York pitcher Jonathon Niese was and, given how badly he’d done, there was little left for him to do than to smile.

After the game, Fiddy continued to make fun of himself on his Twitter, writing, “The [expletive] almost hit the camera man damn, if you look close you can see them moving the plate. Lol.” He was no longer in the mood for jokes when he saw how online trolls had turned his bad pitch into the butt of all jokes.

“I’m a hustler not a Damn ball player,” the rapper tweeted in response.

To paraphrase a bit what the sportscaster says in the video, it’s a good thing 50 Cent never had to choose between making rap music and playing baseball because I don’t think the world could have taken such high levels of fail and LOL.
