Supervillain E takes out Craigslist ad asking for Shadow Hare’s identity – priced at just $10

A man from Cincinnati, Ohio likes to think of himself as a superhero who fights crime on the dark alleys of the city. He goes by the name of Shadow Hare and, despite the fact that authorities don’t approve of his actions and he could stand to be seriously hurt, his popularity is soaring. In fact, he has become so popular that a villain, going simply by the name of “E,” has even put a hit on his head via Craigslist, TMZ reports.

For starters, it’s worth noting that this could either be an easy prank or someone trying to point out to the world the funny side of this “superhero” story that is causing such waves right now, especially on the Internet. This is because the villain in question, bragging about belonging to the “Consortium of Evil,” is giving no more than 10 bucks for details that could lead to the identity of the Shadow Hare, as the Craigslist posting indicates.

“An evil genius has placed a $10 bounty on the masked super-hero roaming the streets of Cincinnati – which means Shadow Hare officially has an Arch-enemy... and he’s really, really cheap. A supervillain from the ‘Consortium of Evil’ has posted a ‘want ad’ on his local Craigslist website – offering ten evil dollars to anyone who can reveal the secret identity of the world’s skinniest crime-fighter.” TMZ says of the recently uncovered ad.

The ad itself simply says “I am seeking the secret identity of Shadowhare,” although it does not mention with what purposes in mind. However, it is believed some sort of final, terrible confrontation is to take place, should anyone be convinced by the $10 bounty to sell the masked superhero. The villain also says his current location is “The Dark Side,” and makes a note that it is “NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests.” TMZ tried to contact E for details on why he needs Shadow Hare’s identity but, as of now, he has not returned any e-mails.

As we were telling you the other week, Shadow Hare’s case has not failed to get the attention of the public and police alike. While the former believes that what the unnamed, masked and rather bodily frail 21-year-old man is doing is nothing short of admirable and noble, authorities warn that he is clearly putting himself at unnecessary risk since he’s not trained for this type of things. Moreover, Ohio police says, endorsing or praising his vigilante actions equals encouraging him to pursue them, which is actually the last thing police officers need, or want for that matter.
