ViewSonic decided it was time to come out and release a pair of new monitors, so it went ahead and played the environment friendliness card once again, its new creations being the VG2236wm-LED and the VG2436wm-LED.

The VG2236wm-LED and the VG2436wm-LED have displays with diagonals measuring 21.5 and 23.6 inches, respectively.

They also have the advantage of featuring a very slim bezel profile while still maintaining the specifications users have come to expect from practically every new monitor.

As such, both newcomers have a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, which means that Full HD media is more than supported.

Another asset is the dynamic contrast ratio of 20,000,000:1 (static contrast ratio is of 1,000:1). Furthermore, the monitors have a response time of 5 ms.

As far as the actual design goes, ViewSonic built its latest creations with stands that can perform 360-degree swivel and tilt, 90-degree pivot and height adjustment of up to 5.4 inches. This should allow for both comfort and productivity.

As for energy efficiency, both the VG2236wm-LED and the VG2436wm-LED have earned Energy Star and EPEAT Gold ratings, as they have an energy savings of up to 50%.

“With the introduction of the VG36-LED Series, ViewSonic continues to deliver on our promise to offer our customers significant energy cost savings and improved performance and brilliant picture quality,” said Sally Wang, senior director of product marketing for ViewSonic.

“These monitors represent another step towards our commitment to delivering an array of green LED products that best fit the needs of our customers,” she added.

Backed by a three-year limited warranty, the 21.5-inch VG2236wm-LED and 23.6-inch VG2436wm-LED will sell for $229 and $259, respectively.
