Unveiled back in May during the 2011 Computex tradeshow, ViewSonic V350 and ViewPad 4 Android devices are expected to be launched in India soon.

ViewSonic confirmed last week the launch of its ViewPad 7 and ViewPad 10 tablets, but the company's officials recently stated that the tablets will be accompanied by two Android smartphones, the ViewSonic V350 and ViewPad 4.

It seems that India will be the second country that will receive both devices, after Taiwan that introduced the Android-based smartphones two month ago.

We will launch these two smartphones along with our tablets. Both the phones are high on technology and will offer superior functionality. We will also introduce our dual SIM technology and 3D interface with these phones,” said Ajay Sharma, country manager of Viewsonic in India.

While the ViewPad 4 looks very much like a tablet, it is in fact a simple but sleek Android smartphone running Google Gingerbread platform.

ViewPad 4 is equipped with a single core Qualcomm MSM8255 processor clocked at 1GHz and comes with a large 4.1-inch WVGA touchscreen display.

According to ViewSonic the device will offers users both phone and tablet functionality, whatever that means.

The smartphone will be delivered with HD 720p video recording support, a mini HDMI port, a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, as well as front facing camera for video calls.

ViewSonic ViewPad 4 is expected to be announced in India as soon as next week and will be priced around Rs 20,000 (about $450).

ViewSonic V350 is an active dual SIM smartphone powered by Android 2.2 Froyo. The HSDPA-enabled device is equipped with a low-performance Qualcomm MSM 7227 processor clocked at 600 MHz.

The dual-SIM phone packs 512 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM, as well as microSD card for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

It comes with a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen display, 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, microSD support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity, as well as GPS with A-GPS support.

ViewSonic V350 is scheduled to be released on the market next week for Rs. 17,000 (about $380).
