With its Cloud platform having been commercially available to customers worldwide since the start of 2010, Microsoft has been working to catalyze an increase in adoption for its new offering. In this regard, the Redmond company has been wooing developers with Windows Azure Firestarter Events designed to get them to warm up to the new platform. The events generally require devs to participate in person, but the software giant is now offering content from a range of sessions focused on Windows Azure for download and for viewing online.

Obviously, the videos provided by the Redmond company are offered to developers that were unable to attend the recent Windows Azure Firestarter event. The content can be accessed on-demand, and those interested will be able to find the necessary links at the bottom of this article.

“For those who missed it, the Windows Azure Firestarter Event was an all-day live event we held last month at our Redmond, Washington campus to help developers learn more about how they can take full advantage of cloud services. Topics covered included Microsoft's strategic vision for the cloud, an end-to-end overview of the Windows Azure platform from a developer's perspective, as well as how to migrate your data and existing applications (regardless of platform) onto the cloud. In addition to these sessions, you can also watch the Q&A that took place at the end of the day with the event's speakers,” a member of the Windows Azure team revealed.

I also embedded the Windows Azure FireStarter: Panel Q&A video below, in addition to providing the links from Microsoft. Thus, you will be able to get a quick taste of the Channel9 content for Windows Azure and decide whether you’re interested in seeing more. “We start by revealing Microsoft's strategic vision for the cloud, and then offer an end-to-end view of the Windows Azure platform from a developer's perspective. We also talk about migrating your data and existing applications (regardless of platform) onto the cloud. We finish up with an open panel and lots of time to ask questions,” Microsoft’s Emily Gibson noted.
