New material carefully safeguarded until now has surfaced online: this time, it’s not a song but a music video. A short video for Michael Jackson’s “One More Chance” has mysteriously surfaced online, TMZ reports.

According to the paparazzi agency / celebrity gossip website, the video was shot in 2003 but never completed, as Michael abandoned all work to focus on the charges brought against him in the court of law.

Now, in the eve of the release of his first posthumous album “Michael” and amidst speculation that the video will be included on a special box set, it has emerged online – in polished form.

“For the first time in years a brand new Michael Jackson music video has surfaced... one that MJ first began working on back in 2003,” TMZ says, confirming the video is “the real deal.”

“Michael first began to work on the shoot back in ‘03 – but had to put everything on hold to deal with the raid on Neverland,” the same media outlet notes.

Admittedly, in recent months, people at Sony Music have been busily working on polishing the video (what Michael shot of it, that is) in order to make it look good enough for an official release.

“MJ’s people had been working to put the finishing touches on the video... and now that it’s complete, they plan to include it with a Michael Jackson box set called ‘Vision’ that will be released later this month,” TMZ reports.

After “Vision” is out, Michael Jackson fans have the release of the album to look forward to: “Michael” drops in music stores just in time for the holidays, on December 14.

As of now, material off “Michael” that has been released to the public includes a song called “Breaking News” (of which fans still believe doesn’t have Michael’s vocals on it, but merely samples) and “Hold My Hand,” a duet with Akon the singer recorded in 2007.
