It’s been some time since we’ve last heard from the Canadian faction of Anonymous, but now it returns with a video statement in which the hacktivists reveal their disapproval towards the actions of the Parliament and the Minister of Public Safety Vic Toews.

The hackers are displeased with the fact that the Public Safety Minister encourages the monitoring of public internet traffic. They consider this to be a form of censorship and a threat to freedom of speech.

“You will cease your efforts to defy the will of your own citizens immediately. If you do not, rest assured that public outrage and protests will only grow, and you will soon find yourself not only mocked, but jobless and despised,” the hackers say.

According to the hackers, this is only the first message they have for the Parliament and Vic Toews. A few hours ago, they promised that a new video would be released tomorrow.
