Although Victorinox is best-known for its iconic multi-purpose swiss army knives, the truth of the matter is that, over the past couple of years, the company has extended its reach into the field of consumer electronics as well, launching at CES 2011 a couple of very interesting (and ultra-portable) flash storage solutions. The devices in question are the Victorinox Slim, Victorinox Slim Duo and Victorinox Secure SSD, each providing large storage capacities and a host of interesting features on the side.

Thus, the Victorinox Slim and Slim Duo models manage to combine portable data storage with Victorinox's standard pocket knife functions, such as blades, nail files, and scissors.

The devices are waterproof and shock resistant, while the memory capacity is set at up to 64GB for the Victorinox Slim and 128GB for the Victorinox Slim Duo.

The Victorinox Secure SSD, on the other hand, includes a Swiss Army Knife and offers secure data encryption, as wells as a Bistable LCD/e-Paper, Graphic display, 96 x 48 Pixel Monochrome, dynamic power management, 32 bit high speed processor and a storage capacity of 256GB.

"The VSA brand evolves with the needs of today's modern, multitasking consumer, and our line of secure flash drives are essential products for anyone seeking to protect their professional and personal documents," says Rene Stutz, president of Victorinox Swiss Army USA.

"We design each USB Memory product in keeping with the VSA heritage of quality, functionality, innovation and iconic design and are thrilled to demonstrate to all CES attendees our new Victorinox Slim, Victorinox Slim Duo and Victorinox Secure SSD innovations and to build awareness for our entire memory device portfolio," the company's rep added.

Unfortunately, pricing and availability details for the Victorinox storage solutions have not yet been provided, but we're eagerly looking forward to finding out more info on these topics.
