If David Beckham gets tattoos to show his love for his daughter Harper Seven, mommy Victoria does what she knows best for the same purpose: she designs fashion items.

The singer turned designer has recently unveiled a new piece in her accessories collection for Spring / Summer 2012 line, named after her daughter, Harper.

Victoria herself broke the news on Twitter, posting a photo of three items in various colors, with the simple explanation, “Meet Harper!”

The bag, which comes with a very short handle and a rather classic design, made its first public “outing” during the show, when Victoria showcased her latest designs.

The Harper bag also comes with two pockets with gold hardware and a simple flap. It's business-style design is a perfect match for the military-inspired items that Mrs. Beckham has created for the Spring / Summer 2012 line.

Harper is already winning critics over, with fashion bible Vogue being among the first to praise Victoria for the inspired design.

“The sweetest one was most certainly her latest style, a fold-over satchel with two pockets, named after her daughter,” the publication writes in a review of Mrs. Beckham's latest collection.

The Telegraph, on the other hand, notes that Harper is suitable only for a certain type of woman: one like Victoria herself.

“[It's] perfect for slipping a Rolex-clad watch through and toting on one's forearm to combat the ever-stalking paparazzi,” The Telegraph writes.

No pricing for Harper has been made available yet but, considering that all Victoria Beckham-branded accessories cost upwards of £1,700 ($2,700 / €2,039.2), there's no sense to assume it would be cheaper than this.

Even so, previous lines of Victoria Beckham accessories have sold out in minutes the moment they became available online.

We'll see if that's the case with the Harper bag too the moment it goes on sale in August.
