The world knows that Victoria Beckham, the former singer, occasional actress and promising fashion designer is also known for, aside her now-infamous pout, her trademark slender frame. Many a joke has been made in the media regarding it, including that her favorite snack is watercress sandwich (hold the bread, the cream cheese and the butter). However, in a new interview with Now Magazine, the star insists her diet is extremely healthy, no matter what people say.

As fans must already know, Mrs. Beckham has often been criticized for silently encouraging and supporting size-0 models with her slender frame. At the same time, she’s said to be so skinny that her fashion creations, for instance, can only be worn by someone like her, most likely a runaway model. Still, this is not because she doesn’t eat, Posh says in the latest interview, but simply because her body has changed and continues to do so as she’s growing older.

“Of course I eat.” Victoria says of the criticism that has it that she’s starving herself and denying herself all kinds of culinary pleasures. “I’ve been accused of not eating for 10 years. If I hadn’t eaten for 10 years, I’d be hungry… I think there’s a big difference between someone having an eating disorder and someone who is controlled about what they eat. I think I could do with putting on some weight but this is the way I am.” the star adds, practically saying that people should just accept the way she is and not stir trouble for it.

Speaking of the rumors that are constantly being circulated in the media, Victoria is adamant they’re not more than that, just rumors. Moreover, they’re also extremely upsetting, because having one’s body thus examined in the media and every detail of one’s personal life put under the microscope is a clear violation of privacy – more so when what comes out in print is false, the star says.

“I’m not anorexic or bulimic and I’m not a skeleton. It’s so upsetting. I’m seven and a half stone. I’m very fit and healthy and I feel great. I haven’t changed what I eat. I just feel my metabolism has changed as I’ve got older.” Posh adds.
