IT security firm Kaspersky has entered a partnership with luxury mobile phone company Vertu. As part of the partnership, Vertu customers will be offered free access to Kaspersky Internet Security for Android for a period of 12 months.

“Our customers should be free to use their Vertu without security concerns, hence we required a partner that could provide them with an industry leading solution for protection against all types of attack, including anti-theft and anti-malware,” said Vertu Chief Executive Officer Massimiliano Pogliani.

Vertu customers can download the Android security solution from the “Vertu Partners” section of the mobile phone company’s website.

Users who install Kaspersky Internet Security benefit from anti-theft protection, anti-malware protection, privacy protection, web protection, and call and text filtering.

Nikolay Grebennikov, CTO at Kaspersky Lab, noted, “Due to our relentless expertise, Kaspersky Lab technologies, developed from scratch within the company and repeatedly endorsed by independent testing, will be able to secure Vertu customers from all types of IT threats.”
