Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is getting ready for the launch of a new software update for the owners of BlackBerry Z10 smartphones on its network, namely the BlackBerry 10.1 OS, and new reports on the matter suggest that it might make the move as soon as tomorrow.

No official announcement on the matter has been made as of now, yet the new firmware has already started to arrive on devices at other wireless carriers, and Verizon could follow suit soon.

As N4BB notes, the handset runs under OS 10.0.9.2743 at the moment, which prevents users from accessing various applications, given that this is an outdated build.

The news site also claims that the software sent to Verizon for testing was rather buggy, and that the carrier might actually delay the release of the update for a later date.
