A source claiming to have predicted the launch of Apple’s White iPhone 4 through Verizon is now going on record, again, to state that “Verizon will be making the full White iPhone 4 announcement” during an event planned for later today.

Tribble Ad Agency claims that “[its] sources have stated that Verizon will be making the full White iPhone 4 announcement, and as we stated earlier, the White iPhone will only be on the Verizon network.”

According to the report, the device will be priced identically as the current model -  $199 with a 2-year contract.

Moreover, Verizon tweeted yesterday: “Getting ready to make news on Tuesday,” which many translated into a CDMA iPhone announcement. It remains to be seen whether or not this is the case.

Apple is known to have postponed the launch of its white iPhone three times since the official unveiling of the handset in the Summer of 2010.

On two separate occasions last year, Apple issued short, formal statements acknowledging that the technical particularities surrounding the white handset were forcing the company to push the launch of the elusive product to a later date.

Statement by Apple on White iPhone 4

White models of Apple’s new iPhone® 4 have continued to be more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected, and as a result they will not be available until later this year. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected.

Apple then revealed towards the end of 2010 that the white iPhone 4 was being delayed yet again.

As it was postponing the phone’s launch for the third time, the company promised a Spring 2011 release, fueling speculation on high-profile media outlets that the handset would never see the light of day.
