Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is expected to bring to the market its first 4G LTE-capable smartphones sometime in late February, most probably during the last week of that month.

No formal announcement on the matter was made, although Verizon went official with its Android-based LTE devices at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, but rumors on the possible arrival window for two of these devices emerged.

We're referring here to the HTC ThunderBolt handset, the long rumored Incredible HD, which was already said to be the first 4G LTE smartphone that would arrive on shelves at Verizon with Android on board.

At the same time, the info that emerged over at Droid-Life points at the same launch time frame for Samsung's unnamed 4G LTE device that Verizon introduced officially a few weeks ago at the said event.

We already learned that Verizon already started training its employees on the ThunderBolt, which suggests that it might not be too long before the device hits shelves.

Moreover, some marketing materials for both of these devices reportedly started to emerge, suggesting that Verizon might indeed be set to bring them to the market sooner rather than later.

These phones would enable Big red's customers enjoy fast Internet browsing on the carrier's new 4G LTE network, in addition to providing them with increased performance levels, courtesy of enhanced hardware specs they pack inside.

We should also note that these are not the only 4G smartphones that Verizon announced officially, and that it would also launch similar devices from LG and Motorola in the near future.

No specific info on when would these be set to land on shelves emerged for the time being, though the next few months would be a safe bet.

Hopefully, Big Red won't be late with launching the first LTE phones on its airwaves, so stay tuned to learn more on their availability and price tags.
