According to the latest news on the Web, mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is set to release on June 5 not only one handset coming from the South Korean LG Electronics, but two of them, namely the LG enV Touch, which has been already spotted into the wild, and the LG Glance VX7100, a new candybar device.

Although the LG Glance VX7100 seems not as exciting as the LG enV Touch, it still has enough features packed inside, including a slim form factor, as well as some sort of a luxurious back cover, which, although seeming to be made out of expensive materials, is not.

What the new entry-level mobile phone is able to offer to the carrier's users includes CDMA with 1xRTT connectivity and a 2.00-inch TFT display that boasts a 320 x 240-inch resolution and support for 262K colors, along with a 1.3-megapixel photo snapper, a GPS receiver (with support for VZ Navigator), and Bluetooth connectivity (including headset, hands-free, object push-restricted).

In addition, the handset is also expected to come along with Voice Commands, a 2.5mm Headset Jack, speakerphone, a bilingual Interface – English/Espanol, support for Verizon services such as Media Center, Mobile Email, Mobile Web, Instant Messaging, Chat, Chaperone Parent/Child, Voicemail, as well as with text, picture and voice Messaging with threaded messaging features.

The LG Glance VX7100 measures 4.31″ x 1.87″ x 0.38″ and weighs 2.92 oz. Its battery is able to offer up to 260 minutes of talk time or up to 350 hours of standby time. According to the news, the handset should become available with Verizon for $49 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate. At the same time, users should also be able to purchase it for $119 with a one-year contract, or for $219 in full retail.
