If you are an owner of the Galaxy Tab 7.7 and a subscriber to Verizon, you should know big red has approved an update for your tablet that might help you reduce your electricity expenses.

The SW Version IMM76D.LP11 update is supposed to bring “enhancement to reduce the electrical consumption during power off charging.”

Apart from that, the update won't bring any extra enhancements to the slate, but it’s always nice to see Samsung hasn't forgotten about its older devices.

As it has been approved by the carrier, the update should roll out into the wild in a day or two, so users should keep an eye on their Galaxy Tab 7.7 for a notification saying it has arrived.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is an AMOLED screen tablet that was released back in 2012.
