Verizon has quite a number of Android smartphone release in the next two months according to its leaked roadmap for this spring. In addition to the upcoming handsets, the carrier also plans to launch two MiFi devices and one 4G modem.

According to the guys over at Phandroid, no less than eight Android smartphones, but only one Windows Phone 7 device will be launched by Verizon in April and May.

The first to be announced is Samsung Charge, which is likely to go by the name of DROID Charge. The 4G-enabled smartphone is scheduled for an April 7 release, along with the unimpressive Casio Commando, which was showcased at the 2011 CTIA Wireless last week.

Next in line is the highly anticipated Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, which is expected to be released on April 15, followed by a Windows Phone 7 device one day later, the HTC Trophy.

Later in April, the carrier is expected to announce the 'global' HTC Incredible 2 Android smartphone on the 28th.

The Android fever at Verizon debuts in May with the LG Revolution, another 4G Android handset, which should be announced on the 5th.

The carrier scheduled three more Android smartphones for May, without revealing certain release dates: Motorola Bionic, Motorola DROID X 2 and Samsung Galaxy S II.

The Galaxy S II May is a pleasant surprise, as the smartphone wasn't supposed to be available overseas so soon.

Furthermore, two MiFi devices should be available by the end of March: Novatel MiFi 4510L, Samsung MiFi SCH-LC11, as well as the Novatel USB 551L modem.

The MiFi devices should offer support for download speeds of up to12 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 5 Mbps to customers using laptops, tablets and gaming devices using the carrier's 4G LTE network.

Both MiFi devices have been demoed at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show and made quite an impression.
