With various enhancements packed inside, removes pre-loaded apps

Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is getting ready for the release of a new software update for the DROID Charge by Samsung, and will push it to devices as version i510.FP8 in the near future.

The company has already published release notes for the new update, confirming that users will enjoy support for a series of new features, and that various applications previously pre-loaded on it have been removed.

The release notes for the new firmware update include:

- Support has been added for Face Lock & Unlock, Photo Editor, Recording Snap Shot and Vector Font. - “Get Video Calling” has been preloaded on the device. - Preloaded applications including VOD, BitBop, Rhapsody, Blockbuster, Tunewiki and Mobile Instant Messenger (MIM) have been removed
