After announcing that it will commit to Brew and Brew MP devices, Verizon intros a new value pack aiming at customers with basic phones.

The carrier announced customers with feature-phones will receive 75 MB of data use to browse the Internet, connect to their social networking accounts, download games and apps, or access several Verizon most popular apps, all for just $10 per month.

The new Value Pack includes monthly subscriptions to Mobile Email, VZ Navigator, the carrier's audible turn-by-turn navigation application, and Ringback Tones, so customers can customize or choose the song a caller hears when waiting for an answer, in addition to the data allowance.

However, customers should be aware of the fact that Verizon is charging $1.99 per year for individual ringback tones.

Basic phones aren’t so basic any more – along with voice calls and text messages, customers can access the Internet, send and receive email, stay connected and much more,” said Kristi Crum, executive director, Consumer Solution for Verizon Wireless.

According to Verizon, customers with basic phones can save more than $10 every month over the cost of individual subscriptions if they choose the new Value Pack.

Furthermore, potential customers interested by the new Value Pack should hurry as Verizon announced that this offer is available only for a limited time.

Bringing some of our most-asked-for apps together with a generous data allowance in one package gives millions of customers the opportunity to get more value from their Verizon Wireless phones, all for an affordable monthly charge,” concluded Crum.

Customers with feature phones with existing data packages, including the $10/75 MB per month package, or those who subscribe to VZ Navigator, but have decided that they want to take advantage of the newly announced Value Pack, can move to the Value Pack at any time using My Verizon.
