According to a survey, seventy five percent of the people that were questioned said they used their mobile handset for both work and personal reasons. For the time being, the most appropriate devices to suit the needs of that type of users seem to be the Blackberry handsets.

US carrier Verizon seems to be aiming to please all of its Blackbery-loving customers with RIM's newest device, the 8830 Cyclone. Finally, Verizon customers can stop complaining that their carrier never provides new and exciting phones.

The Blackberry 8830 Cyclone is a hybrid handheld that comes with both CDMA and GSM capabilities and will work in the US as well as Europe. This is very convenient for users that travel a lot. It packs a large screen with a QVGA resolution, 3G capabilities, Ev-DO and a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion.

Although most of its features weren't mentioned, one can assume that it will pack all the apps and features that suit the needs of business users. It should also sport a media player with support for the usual file formats and Bluetooth for connectivity,

Users that were hoping that RIM's handset featured a camera will be disappointed yet again. Proving that it was designed with the business user in mind, the handheld doesn't include a camera. The 8830 Cyclone will be a part of Verizon's World Edition smartphone offering, looks very much like RIM's Blackberry 8800 and will be available in a silver color. There is currently no info on its availability or price, but all details should be revealed soon.
