It appears that Verizon will be among the last major carriers in the US to offer the Samsung Galaxy S III.

The operator announced last month that the smartphone would be available for purchase by July 7, but Verizon delayed the release of the phone a few times for unknown reasons.

We speculate that Samsung had some issues with Galaxy S III stocks and the overwhelming demand, so the phone had to be delayed in some regions.

Anyway, Verizon recently came forward with an official statement that confirms (again) that Galaxy S III will go on sale online and at brick and mortar stores beginning July 10.

Both 16GB and 32GB models will be available for purchase next week for $199.99 USD and $249.99 USD, respectively. Obviously, both deals require customers to commit to a new two-year agreement.

Keep in mind that while the 16GB Galaxy S III will be launched both online and in stores on July 10, the 32GB version will only be available online and will go on sale in stores in the coming weeks.

It is also worth mentioning that customers will have the choice of the Galaxy S III in two colors, Marble White or Pebble Blue.

The smartphone will be shipped with Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform onboard and 4G LTE support. Unlike the European version that packs 1GB of RAM, Verizon Galaxy S III embeds 2GB of RAM.

Moreover, the North American variant of Galaxy S III is equipped with a 1.5 GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor, instead of the Exynos 4212 quad-core CPU clocked at 1.4 GHz, which powers the international model.

Verizon also recommends Galaxy S III owners to take advantage of its Viewdini app, allowing users to stream access to videos from a wide range of content providers, such as cable operators, websites and other popular video sources.
