Verizon Wireless announced that Natasha Bedingfield, one of the most known and acclaimed UK female singers, would start a national US tour under the name of "Verizon VIP Tour 2008". The young and pretty singer will perform in 20 cities across the US, together with other two popular female acts: The Veronicas and Kate Voegele.

The tour featuring Natasha, Kate and the Australian twins from The Veronicas will debut on the 21st of May in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and will end on the 10th of July, in San Francisco.

Verizon's subscribers who download, via the V CAST service, content related to Natasha Bedingfield, have the opportunity to win tickets for a show from the future tour. Moreover, fans will have the chance to meet Natasha in person and to appear in one of her future videos.

Talking about the upcoming American tour, Natasha Bedingfield said: "Nothing is more exciting than taking it to the stage and performing my songs live. Having toured around the world, I couldn't be more thrilled to finally be embarking on my first tour of the U.S. with Verizon, who is always at the forefront of mobile technology and great new music. It's going to be a wicked summer run."

Ed Ruth, director of digital music for Verizon, added: "This is a tour that spotlights smart, strong young artists doing what they do best. Natasha Bedingfield, the Veronicas and Kate Voegele are representatives of a new generation of talented female artists speaking out on what's important to them, and mobile technology is a big part of that movement. Verizon Wireless delivers the opportunity for all three artists to interact directly with fans, who can download their music, get tickets to the show and create an on-going dialog with both before and after their performance."

The Verizon VIP Tour (access the official website at this address) will promote Natasha Bedingfield's latest album, named "Pocketful of Sunshine" and released in the US at the beginning of the year.
