After announcing the Qwickies collection of mobile games, Verizon Wireless, the second largest mobile operator in North America, brings even more fun to its customers, via Mobigamz, a mobile portal that contains a wide range of Flash Lite games.

Created by Mobitween, the Mobigamz online portal will allow Verizon's users to play various games from lots of categories, including puzzle, board, arcade and sports. Moreover, visitors can either play online or download the games, which have multiple levels and are especially made for mobile phones, hence they are easy to play. Users will be able to rate the titles available and make public their high-scores.

Talking about their new deal with Verizon, Marc Alloul, Mobitween's executive vice president, said, "This is a tremendous opportunity for Mobitween to release its exciting assortment of Flash-based mobile entertainment. We are very excited and proud to be offering Mobigamz through Verizon Wireless - which has proven itself to be an innovator in the wireless market. Along with the acceleration of Web-mobile convergence and the growing availability of rich-media handsets, we hope these emerging and promising formats will contribute to an improved mobile gaming experience."

"Working with Mobitween, Verizon Wireless is able to offer rich multimedia games through the Mobigamz portal, giving our customers even more ways to satisfy their appetites for compelling games they can play on-the-go," added Ryan Hughes, vice president of digital media programming for Verizon.

Mobigamz titles can be obtained by Verizon's users via the Get It Now virtual store, at the "Get Fun & Games" section, for prices ranging from $2.99 (for on use) to $8.46 (for six uses). The new gaming platform is compatible with lots of phones, including Motorola, LG and Samsung handsets - the sole condition is to be Get It Now-capable devices.
