It will be available for $250 with new two-year activation

Verizon has just announced it will carry the Nexus 6 beginning tomorrow, March 12. The announcement confirms previous rumors, which pointed to this date for the release of Google's flagship smartphone.

So, starting tomorrow, March 12, customers will be able to grab the Nexus 6 from Verizon's online store for only $250 with new two-year activation or $27.08 per month for 24 months with Verizon Edge.

The Nexus 6 will cost $650 outright and will be available in brick and mortar store as well, but only from March 19. The Big Red offers an incentive to those who purchase the Nexus 6 by March 31, as they will get 6-month subscription to Google Play Music All Access at no additional cost ($9.99 a month after trial).

Verizon also confirmed that its Nexus 6 version would launch with Advanced Calling 1.0 capabilities, which would enable users to experience HD Voice Calling to other compatible Verizon smartphones.

Keep in mind that this feature also enables simultaneous voice and data use, so users can talk and surf the web at the same time.

Android 5.1 Lollipop and Turbo Charger included

Previous rumors claimed Verizon Nexus 6 would be the first smartphone to come with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, and the information is confirmed by the carrier as well.

We also know that Nexus 6 comes with a 6-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display and a high-end 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back.

In addition, the smartphone will be equipped with a 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, an Adreno 420 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.

Verizon will only sell the 32GB of internal memory and since there's no microSD card slot, Nexus 6 owners who are also MORE Everything customers will also receive 25GB cloud storage on Verizon Cloud at no additional charge.

It's also worth mentioning that the sales package will include a Turbo Charger, which enables owners to use the Nexus 6 for up to 6 additional hours after charging the battery for 15 minutes.
