Velocity Micro seems to be quite keen on getting as many products as possible out onto the market in time for the Christmas shopping spree, the company rolling out a third Android tablet, the Cruz T301, in a fairly under-the-radar manner, the product simply popping up for sale on Amazon.

According to Laptoping, who've first come across this new tablet, the Velocity Micro Cruz T301 is a 7-inch Internet tablet that comes equipped with 7-inch touchscreen display, capable of providing an 800 x 600 pixels resolution, as well as 4:3 image aspect ratio (compared to the 16:9 aspect ratio found in the previous Cruz tablet.

Plus, a built-in, tilt-activated accelerometer will flip the page display from portrait to landscape and back when you turn the device, while the built-in 802.11n Wifi module will allow users to browse the web or get content onto the tablet.

And speaking of content, we'll have to mention that the tablet supports a wide array of files, including MPEG-4 and H.264 video formats, MP3, WMA, AAC, or WAV audio formats, as well as JPEG, GIF, PNG, and BMP photos.

The Cruz Tablet offers 4GB internal storage, expandable via both USB and SD card slots, a 4 GB SD card being included with the device.

Along with the Kindle app, that grants fast and easy access to a wide array of eBooks, the Cruz Tablet includes a built-in dictionary, file manager, calendar, alarm clock, social media, OfficeSuite viewer, Napster, and other useful apps.

Plus, an extended life, user-replaceable lithium-ion battery is included, offering up to 10+ hours of life on a single charge (24+ hours on standby).

The Velocity Micro Cruz T301 Android 2.0 tablet is priced at $249.99 at Amazon, which is a more or less OK price point, at least when compared to some of the other similar products available on the market.
