Despite financial issues and lack of critical praise, the world will endure another BloodRayne movie. But at least we will see some more partial vampire nudity, and some enjoyable nudity, I might add.

As you probably already know, Kristanna Loken decided not to appear in the BloodRayne sequel, but according to ComingSoon, another hot young talent will be the main character. To be more specific, Natassia Malthe will play the main role in BloodRayne 2.

She previously played in Dead or Alive and Elektra and that is why Brightlight Pictures chose her as the main character. BloodRayne was released this year on DVD by Visual Entertainment and was the first movie that was shipped with the original PC game that inspired it.

The first BloodRayne game was developed by Terminal Reality and was released back in 2002 on October 15 for PS2, GameCube and the Xbox. The PC version of the game came a little bit later, namely on September 9 of 2003. The game is set in 1935, just before the World War II and the main character is a Brimstone Society agent, Rayne.

After a few years, Terminal Reality decided to develop a sequel, so BloodRayne 2 was released in October of 2004 for the PS2 and Xbox and in August of 2005 for the PC. Although it has the same name, it is not so much a sequel as it doesn't pick up the story of the first game.
