VTech has just unveiled a triad of slates marketed at children

The kid tablet market is continuously expanding and growing these days, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that VTech has just flooded the space with a handful of new models.

So, this week, young techies get a new reason to ask their parents for a tablet. Sure, we have heard of numerous studies proclaiming that kids spending too much times on a slate is not healthy at all, but that doesn't seem to stop tech manufacturers.

Anyway, going back to VTech, they have just put out three new slate models aimed at the little ones.

InnoTab Max

This is a 7-inch tablet coming with a high-resolution display, but we’re not given the exact specifics. Actually, the whole spec sheet is pretty blurry and we're just told the device bundles kid-safe Wi-Fi and an enhanced version of VTech Premium Kid Connect.

The tablet is deemed as a safe option that arrives equipped with Android apps hand-picked by the VTech community, including a choice between 200 educational titles plus 650 learning downloads. It can also work with a small pen.

VTech stressed that parents shouldn't worry about NSFW apps, because the tablet has been designed to be a super safe educational tool.

InnoTab 3S Plus and InnoTab 3 Plus

Unlike the InnoTab Max, these tablets are a little bit smaller and come equipped with a less generous app bundle.

For example, the InnoTab 3S Plus will arrive with Wi-Fi and 15 built-in apps. Children and parents will be granted access to VTech Kid Connect, which enables users to send messages, pictures and drawings.

For parents that don’t approve of their child surfing the web just yet (after all the tablets appeal to children 2 to 9 years of age), then the InnoTab 3 Plus should be a safe choice to make. The slate doesn't arrive with built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, so the appeal of this model lies with the pre-bundled content.

Kids and their folks can take advantage of the 12 pre-installed apps, and there’s a front facing camera in there, too.

The two devices also arrive with Rechargeable Power Packs, which is a nice addition to throw in.

The tablets have been created to withstand reckless handing, so you won’t have to worry about your children wrecking your investment.

Anyway, for the time being VTech hasn't said when the three tablets will make it into retail, but we can tell you the InnoTab MAX will arrive this fall, while the InnoTab 3S and 3 Plus are said to be coming soon.
