Here’s one more thing to look forward to at the MTV Video Music Awards 2013, which will take place this Sunday and will air live on MTV: Justin Timberlake will reunite with ‘NSYNC for a one-time performance.

According to insiders speaking to Page Six, the whole thing is meant to be a surprise. If that’s really the case, I guess the cat’s out of the bag now.

“MTV announced that Timberlake, who topped the charts in the late ’90s with the band, will perform at the VMAs and receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award,” the report says.

“But we’re told former bandmates J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick are scheduled to join him onstage for a reunion performance,” notes the publication.

The VMAs will also be the scene where Lady Gaga performs live for the first time her brand new single “Applause,” off the “ARTPOP” album.
