Now that “Twilight” is over, Summit Entertainment is looking to launch another big franchise. “Divergent,” based on a novel by Veronica Roth, could be it.

The first teaser trailer was released last night, during the MTV Video Music Awards 2013, and you can see it in full below.

“Divergent” stars Shailene Woodley as a young woman who, like all the residents of Chicago in the future, must pledge allegiance to one of the existing factions, based on her personality.

In a short while, she realizes that she doesn’t belong because she’s what is called a Divergent. She also finds out that she’s not alone and that her life is in danger, because society will not accept anyone who dares to be different.

The film also stars Kate Winslet, Maggie Q, Theo James, Zoe Kravitz, Jai Courtney, and Ashley Judd, and will be out in March 2014.
