Unveiled earlier this year during the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show, VIZIO's 8-inch tablet is now available for pre-order via manufacturer's online store.

Although the tablet is priced a bit higher than it was initially expected VIZIO tablet is still one the cheapest Gingerbread tablets that will soon be available on the market.

However, the tablet is delivered with a richly featured sales package that includes a custom-fit folio case and a 16GB MicroSD card.

Those who wish to pre-order VIZIO Tablet must pay $399.99 (tax and shipping not included) for the full package or $379.99 if they want to skip the additional accessories.

The estimated ship date is July 18 with the tablet going on sale in stores during the last week of July, possibly on the 25th.

VIZIO Tablet comes with a high-definition 8-inch touchscreen to deliver more fun and more freedom in a thin, ultra-light design.

The tablet is powered by Google's Gingerbread platform and features built-in Wi- Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth capabilities that offer optimum connectivity with multiple devices.

In addition, the tablet sports a secondary front-facing camera, which is ideal for video chats.

The device packs 4GB of internal memory, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 16GB memory card included).

It embeds three strategically placed speakers to provide users with stereo audio in both landscape and portrait modes for movies, music, games or video chats.

However, depending on the tablet's orientation, the device will automatically transfer the sound to two of the three speakers.

Software-wise, the tablet comes bundled with an exclusive application that enables it to communicate with home theater devices and control them all with the Tablet, just like a remote control.

With the built-in HDMI port, users will be able to output HD video to multiple TVs and monitors.
