Samsung's Windows 7-loaded device takes care of business

Samsung was chosen as a Windows on ARM development platform by two, not just one, platform makers, but it is doing its own thing in the meantime.

Among other things, the company is doing its best to promote the Slate PC, whose showroom is here.

The video above is the latest attempt to get the item off the ground and selling, but we have to admit that we aren't very confident many people will buy the thing.

The simple fact is that, being loaded with the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system, it just can't brag about being all that versatile, even though it can do a lot of things.

The interface just doesn't go along with pure touch-based interaction, but that's not really Samsung's fault, and since no other Windows 7 slates dealt with the issue all that better, it doesn't hurt to at least consider getting one of these.
