Many people enjoy a lot stumbling upon small and utterly stupid gadgets destined for a place on their desktop as long as these are truly fun. This Ferris Wheel is pretty pointless too, it makes a lot of annoying noise, and it looks rather dumb (at least if you're planning to buy one for yourself and not for your kids) but its fun-factor gradually decreases fast and turns into a tremendous rage in just minutes or tens of minutes. On the other hand, this USB chameleon is quiet, it looks awesomely dumb, and it acts funny. And randomly.

Now, here's a pretty good example of completely meaningless technology, one might add.

And, in fact, they could not be any closer to the truth. Indeed, this USB chameleon is utterly useless and does pretty much nothing but drain some electricity from your computer.

"So where's the fun?" you might wonder. Well, this little chameleon rotates his huge (and dumb) eyes in different directions based on a random pattern with a random timing also. Even more, it sticks its tongue out as if hunting for flies, in the most disturbing way, especially as you're concentrated on your work and you happen to notice that movement with your peripheral sight.

All you have to do is stick the chameleon on your monitor and plug it in a spare USB slot (it really does not matter whether you've got a USB 1.1 or a 2.0 channel there) and there you go: your own ancient reptile in a very dumb and (maybe because of that) lovely shape, doing silly things on your desktop.

And if your colleagues aren't aware of its nature, imagine their faces as they'll notice all the chaotic eye-movement! It would have been a killer toy if this USB chameleon could have also changed color and even moved its tail in the same uncontrolled manner! Now, you can also claim that you're a Culture Club die-hard fan, but I guess that admitting you like silly and useless gadgets would be easier. Check out this completely hilarious video and decide if you plan to spend some $26 on the toy.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
