Galaxy S III

, the newest flagship Android smartphone from Samsung, is now available for purchase in the UK, though stocks are not enough to feed the hungry mob, it seems.

People have lined up to grab the new device the very day Samsung kicked off its availability, yet many of them will be unable to purchase one.

Samsung has already officially confirmed delays in shipping the blue flavor of the mobile phone, and it appears that the white version is not finding itself in a better position either.

The next stock of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device’s blue version is expected to reach the UK a bit late, with wait times said to be of two to three weeks now, either through Samsung, its partner retailers, or wireless carriers in the country.

In fact, UK operators have already placed the “out of stock” tag on Galaxy S III’s page on their website, or are promising unit deliveries in the coming days.

For example, users interested in getting the Marble White flavor of Samsung Galaxy S III from O2 UK will have to wait up to five days to receive their units, the wireless carrier states at the moment.

Those who head over to T-Mobile’s website will learn that both the blue and white versions of the smartphone are expected to ship after May 30th.

Three UK simply notes that the mobile phone is out of stock, without offering a specific availability date for it.

“We'll aim to deliver within 4 working days” is what Vodafone UK says at the moment related to the White 16GB flavor of Galaxy S III, noting that the Blue flavor (16GB or 32GB) is expected to be delivered within 2-4 weeks.

Those users who turn to retailers to grab the new smartphone won’t be in luck either. Clove says that the white flavor should arrive on June 1st, and that the blue one might be in stock after June 5th, while Amazon claims that stock would be replenished only on June 8th.

Undoubtedly, Galaxy S III is the most expected smartphone of this half of the year, and it has all that it takes to be called the handset of the year as well. The stock issues might easily increase the hype around the device, though they could also hurt sales, if Samsung does not manage to solve them soon.
